Court prevents protests in Chilaw over Anthony Fernando

The Chilaw District Court has issued an order preventing any protest from being held in Chilaw today, to mark the first death anniversary of Anthony Fernando, the fisherman who was shot and killed during a protest against a fuel price hike.
The order was issued by Chilaw Magistrate and Additional Judge D.M.J. Dissanayake against a protest scheduled today (15) by a non-governmental organization condemning the death, Ada Derana reporter said.
