Anoma Fonseka to contest for Chief Minister post?

Anoma Fonseka’s name has been proposed to contest for the post of Chief Minister in an upcoming Western Provincial Council election, sources within the Democratic Party told Ada Derana.
It is said that a senior member had proposed that party leader and former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka’s wife should contest the election.
Political sources revealed that the North Western and Central provincial councils are to be dissolved in the near future.
The Democratic Party is to put forward suitable candidates for North Western and Central PCs as well, however Anoma Fonseka will not contest those elections, party sources said.
