A 52-year-old man from Madurankuliya, Puttalam who was found guilty for the possession of illegal narcotics was sentenced to death by the Kegalle High Court today.
The suspect was arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau in 2004 for the possession of around 25 grams of heroin.
High Court Judge Menaka Wijesundara issued the sentence as the charges were proved without the benefit of doubt.
