Justice Minister Rauf Hakeem today stated that they will make sure injustice is not caused to any student from the decision to revise the syllabus of the Law College entrance examination.
Hakeem stated that he even obtained advice regarding the matter from the Chief Justice, who he had met and held discussions with.
The Minister made these comments in response to a question raised by DNA MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Parliament today (19).
Dissanayake had accused that the decision to revise Law College entrance exam syllabus had caused great injustice to the students.
On February 01 the Council of Legal Education (CLE) decided to reduce the Law College entrance cut off marks to 66 marks while the law entrance examination syllabus was revised from one subject to two.
Two examinations, namely the language paper and the general knowledge and intelligence paper, were introduced from 2013.
The total intake of students to the Law College was also increased to 551.
