Debate on no-confidence motion against Dilan in March

The motion of no-confidence against Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera, presented by the UNP, is to be taken up for debate in Parliament in March.

Party leaders are set to gather in the first week of next month to take a decision on the matter.

The motion was presented against the Minister for his alleged failure to intervene and save the life of Sri Lankan housemaid Rizana Nafeek who was beheaded last month in Saudi Arabia over the death of an infant under her care.

The motion was signed by fourteen United National Party (UNP) MPs.
