Minister Mervyn Silva today stated that although it is true he has a “bad mouth,” he is not prepared to betray anyone. However, he warned former President Chandrika Bandaranaike to refrain from provoking him by making unnecessary statements.
The Public Relations and Public Affairs Minister today held a press conference to respond to the strong criticisms made by Bandaranaike at a function held in Kandy yesterday (Feb 28).
She had lashed out current politicians and rulers accusing them of being corrupt and uneducated.
Minister Silva pointed out that although the former President had claimed that the parliament is filled with idiots and thieves, it was Bandaranaike who gave them nominations.
He accused the former President of treating them as thieves and idiots today, but visited their homes and eating meals in the past.
Minister Silva further stated that it evident through the statements Chandrika Bandaranaike is making that the LTTE bomb in Town Hall has damaged her head.
