Former JVP member found dead inside three-wheeler

Moragahahena Police, acting on information received, discovered the body of a person who had died under suspicious circumstances inside a three-wheeler near the Samidu Uyana cemetery in Poragedara, Padukka.
It has been uncovered that the deceased was a former member of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and for a while had engaged in political activities for the party.
Police said cuts were inflicted in the man’s neck and that a half-drunk liquor bottle and a knife were found at the scene.
