A 25-year-old woman was killed in a fire which broke out in a residence in Aralaganwila. Police inquiries have revealed that the woman was alone at home at the time of the fire.
The body has been placed at the Ampara Hospital mortuary while the postmortem examination is to be conducted today.
The cause for the fire has not been determined yet, however Aralaganwila Police is conducting further investigations.
