
Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets to win the second and final Test played at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Tuesday to clinch the series 1-0.
Sri Lanka achieved the 160-run target in the last session of the day as Tillakaratne Dilshan (57), the opener, and Kumar Sangakkara (55), the Man of the Series, made impressive half-centuries.
Sangakkara and TM Dilshan put on 94 runs for second wicket.
Bangladesh, trailing by 106 runs, were earlier bowled out for 265 in their second innings after adding 107 to their overnight total of 158 for 4.
Rangana Herath celebrated his 35th birthday with a career-best 7-89 and also completed his third haul of 10 or more wickets in a Test, after bagging 5 for 68 in the first innings.
Sri Lanka win the match and the series after the opening Test in Galle ended in a draw.
