National Museum closed indefinitely

The National Museum in Colombo has been closed for the public until further notice, the Ministry of National Heritage said.
The date of reopening will be announced later while the Minister of National Heritage, Dr. Jagath Balasuriya is currently holding talks with ministry officials regarding the matter, it said.
At least 30 students were injured when a staircase collapsed at the Colombo National Museum yesterday (March 28).
The Ministry of National Heritage said it has commenced an investigation into the incident and that the Museum will remain closed until repairs are being carried out.
