A woman was killed after colliding with a train near the Katugoda train station in Galle, police stated. The train was traveling from Matara to Colombo when the incident took place.
The victim was a 26 year old woman residing in the Akuressa area, the Galle Harbour police stated.
The victim’s body was taken to the Karapitiya hospital where the post mortem will be conducted today (April 1).
