Wennappuwa Police Headquarters Inspector (HQI) Ashoka Weerakkody has been transferred to the Kelaniya Police Division with immediate effect, as ordered by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), police said today.
Police Inspector Wasantha Kumara, who served as the Officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Pottuvil Police Station, has been appointed as Wennappuwa HQI instead.
