A protest took place in the Madawachchiya town today (April 3) demanding proper treatment and compensation for patients with kidney disease.
Over 1000 people including kidney patients from Madawachchiya, Kebithigollewa and Padawiya joined in the protest.
The protest march began at the Madavachchiya hospital and ended after the crowd arrived at the centre of the town.
