Group of Indian workers stage strike in Madampe over salaries

A group of Indian employees working at a factory in Madampe owned by an Indian organization went on strike over issues concerning their salaries.
The workers claimed that although the management had promised them salaries of Rs.20,000 including all necessary facilities, they were only receiving salaries of Rs.7500.
Around 90 workers had joined in the strike action while around 225 Indian workers are employed in the factory.
