A suspect was arrested by Kekirawa Police for the possession of 13 trap guns and one 12-bore gun without proper permits.
Police recovered the firearms from a field in the Galenbindunuwewa area in Kekirawa.
The suspect was arrested in a raid by police, acting on information received saying he was using the guns to poach wild animals near the cultivation.
The suspect is a resident of Vijithapura, Kalawewa.
