A man from Sedawatta, Chilaw has been arrested for the possession of one kilogram of marijuana and a foreign-made hand grenade, police said.
The suspect is known to be a main distributer of ganja in Chilaw after purchasing them from other areas, however police are yet to determine the reason for possessing a grenade.
The suspect is to be produced at the Chilaw District Court.
