
A Sri Lankan court on Thursday extended the remand period of 30 Indian fishermen, who were arrested by the Lankan Navy on April 15, to April 26.
The fishermen, lodged in prison in Anuradhapuram, were on Thursday produced before Mannar court Magistrate Anthony Pillai Juitson, who extended their remand till April 26, U Arulanandam, Innocent Fishermen’s Association President said.
The fishermen are from Tamil Nadu’s Thangachimadam village, Foreign Media reports.
