Police record slight decrease in vehicle accidents and murders

Police reports indicate that there has been a slight decrease in vehicular accidents and murders during the time period of January 1 to April 19, 2013 in comparison to the corresponding period last year.
In 2012 the corresponding period recorded 12,139 vehicular accidents whereas this year that number has reduced to 11,691 which is 448 less than the same period last year, the Police headquarters recorded.
The police stated that murder cases during this period have also reduced in comparison with last year.
In 2012, this period recorded 219 murder cases resulting in 265 deaths whereas this year the number of reports has reduced to 185 while the casualties too have reduced by 68 to a total of 197.
