Two suspects have been arrested for the possession of 16 fake Rs 1,000 notes and other equipment used for printing counterfeit currency in Rukmaltenna, Aralaganwila.
The suspects, residents of Soraborawewa, were taken into custody along with a computer and printing machine by Aralaganwila Police, acting on information received.
They will be produced at the Polonnaruwa Magistrate’s Court, police said.
