The road has caved in near the new military hospital between the Nelum Pokuna junction and the Horton Place, Wijerama junction, Police said a short while ago. The road will be closed for traffic from 12 noon today until repairs are complete.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid congestion.
