
Several students and parents were hospitalized following a wasp attack at the Theraputta National School in Ambalantota this morning.
Seven students and 2 parents were admitted to the Ambalantota Hospital after a wasp nest located in one of the school buildings was disturbed causing the incident, Ada Derana reporter said.
Two of the injured, a students and an adult male, were later transferred to Hambantota Hospital.
The principal of the school, when inquired regarding the matter, said steps have been taken to remove the wasp nest from the school premises.
