Thunder showers to continue in most parts of the island

Showers or thunder showers will develop over most parts of the island during the afternoon and evening, the Meteorological Department stated.
Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) (Northern and Southern hemispheric winds convergence Zone) lies over vicinity of Sri Lanka, the department said, adding, under its influence showers or thundershowers will develop over most parts of the island during the afternoon and evening.
Showers or thundershowers are also expected in the Western province and Galle and Matara district during the morning tomorrow while there may be temporary localized fairly strong winds during thundershowers.
