Two persons killed in accident on Batticaloa-Valaichchenai road

Two persons were killed when a van collided with a motorbike on the Batticaloa-Valaichchenai road last night at around 7.30pm, police stated.
The two vehicles collided head on while the two victims were residents of the Eravur area.
The bodies were taken to the Batticaloa hospital.
Meanwhile, six persons were injured in another accident in Sisiliyagama in Hambantota of which four were reportedly priests.
The injured were taken to the Hambantota hospital while two of the victims are in critical condition, hospital sources revealed.
