Four fishermen admitted to National Hospital

Four fishermen rescued by Sri Lanka Navy, after their boat capsized off Dehiwala due to strong winds, have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.
They were admitted this morning with breathing difficulties caused by extreme cold weather, however are not in critical condition, a hospital spokesman said.
Speaking to Ada Derana, one of the rescued fishermen stated that they had set sail last night from Dehiwala and that their boat capsized due to strong winds and currents.
He stated that they swam towards the shore during the night and were later picked up by navy boats.
Sri Lanka Navy had deployed 3 ships and 05 FACs to rescue fishermen and fishing vessels affected by the prevailing bad weather conditions triggered by strong winds and heavy rains in the southern and western seas.
