A woman was snatched by a crocodile and dragged into the water while bathing in the Nilwala River in Rajagalgoda, Kamburupitiya last evening, police said.
The victim has been identified as a 43-year-old woman from Kaddhuwa.
Kamburupitiya Police, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) and residents in the area together are carrying out search operations to locate to woman’s body.
