Six of Sarath Weerasekara’s staff face angry mob in Deegawapiya

Six members of Ampara District MP, Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara’s staff have been surrounded by angry residents of Deegawapiya following an incident with an incumbent priest of the Deegawapiya Rajamaha Viharaya.
The MP’s staff members were said to have patted Maoya Sobitha Thero on the back while they sought refuge in the nearby police station after the surrounding residents have reacted angrily to the incident.
A tense situation has erupted in the area as the residents have surrounded the police station.
