Man dies in SLTB bus accident

A person was killed following an accident in the Ambagolla, Inginiyagala when a SLTB bus veered off the road and crashed into a tree today.
The bus, used by the Ampara depot for maintenance purposes, had veered of the road after the driver was unable to control it and hit a roadside tree causing one of the passengers to fall off.
He was later run over by the same bus and killed instantly.
The victim is a 65-year-old resident of Ambakele.
The driver of the bus has fled following the incident, which is being investigated by the Inginiyagala Police.
