Five nabbed digging for treasure in Pulasthipura

Five persons were arrested while engaging in excavation activities in the Sungawila area in Pulasthipura, with the intension of digging up buried treasures.
The suspects were arrested by officers of the Pulasthipura Police, acting on information received, who also seized 3 gelignite sticks, 7 meters of detonator cord, a quantity of gunpowder and various other explosive material.
The owner of the land was also said to be among the arrested suspects, who are scheduled to be produced at court.
Pulasthipura Police is conducting further investigations.
