Lankan arrested for stealing cash

A Sri Lankan man, who works as a domestic worker for a Kuwaiti citizen, has been arrested for stealing KD 6,500 (nearly Rs 3 million) from the vehicle of his sponsor in Riqqa area in Kuwait City.
According to sources, the Kuwaiti citizen filed a case against his domestic worker at Riqqa Police Station, explaining to securitymen that he had started his vehicle and placed the money in his vehicle in front of the suspect.
He then went back into the house to change his clothes. When he returned to his vehicle, he was shocked to find the vehicle open and the money missing, the Kuwait English daily Arab Times reported.
Securitymen arrested the suspect and referred him to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
