Man immolates self outside shop in Mount Lavinia

A man set fire to himself outside a shop in the Welipara area on Sumangala Road, Mount Lavinia. He was rushed to hospital following the incident, police stated.
The victim who suffered severe injuries was a 53 year old resident of the Serupita area of Boralesgamuwa.
He was rushed to the Kalubowila hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
Police stated that the self-immolation had taken place over a personal dispute.
The Mount Lavinia police are conducting further inquiries into the incident.
