Man finds explosives buried in property

A man planting trees in his property at Pankulama in Puttalam has discovered several explosives buried in the land inside a polythene bag, police said.
The landowner was digging holes to set teak plants in them when he made teh discovery.
Puttalam Police said the explosives were discovered last evening and the Polcie Psecial Task Force Bomb Squad had arrived and successfully diffused them.
Puttalam Police is conducting further investigations.
