A female traffic police officer was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Bambalapitiya while directing traffic in the area, police stated.
The incident took place this morning (July 29) while the police officer was rushed to the Colombo National Hospital.
The police officer is attached to the Cinnamon Gardens police.
