
UPFA member of the Galigamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha, Nishantha Herath, who was arrested for fraud was further remanded until August 5 by the Kegalle Magistrate Court today (July 29).
The PS member is accused of taking a total of Rs.700,000 with the promise of providing jobs while six charges have been filed against him.
Herath was arrested on July 15 while bail was granted at Rs. 120,000 at Rs.20,000 per charge.
Two further charges have been filed against the PS member today while the court ordered that he be questioned while in remand.
