UNP MP Sajith Premadasa has made it known that he will not extend his support to the party during the upcoming Provincial Council elections until the ongoing disciplinary hearings on several reformist UNP members have ended, internal party sources revealed.
Meanwhile, UNP MP Palitha Range Bandara and Ashok Abeysinghe have stated through MP Ravi Karunanayake that they will not extend their support toward the North Western Provincial Council election until the party confirms that the disciplinary hearings against them have officially ended.
Internal sources further claimed that MPs Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Thalatha Athukorala and Kabir Hashim will not pledge their active support to the election campaign until measures are taken to unite the party.
