The Met. Department, in its weather forecast said, there will be showers or thundershowers at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Galle and showers at a few places in the other sea areas too.
Winds will be Southwesterly direction and speed will be 30-50 km/hr. The speed may increase up to 60-80kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo and Galle, it said.
The sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo and Galle may be rough and dangerous while other sea areas around the island will be fairly rough, the Department said.
