A person was killed when a motorbike crashed into a SUV in the Palaviya area in Kalpitiya while another was seriously injured, police stated.
The victim was traveling on the motorbike as well as the injured party while the SUV had fled the area following the incident.
The Kalpitiya police are conducting further inquiries.
