The Water Board announced that a water cut will be imposed from 11am today to 5am tomorrow in several areas including Borella, Bambalapitiya, Dehiwala-Mt Lavinia, Nugegoda and Wellawatta.
The water cut is being imposed due to a fracture in the main water pipeline from the Ambatale water treatment plant to Dehiwala at Araliya Junction in Mulleriyawa, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said.
The water supple to the following areas will be temporarily suspended:
Borella, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Jawatta, Thunmulla, Havelock Road, Thimbirigasyaya, Polhengoda, Pamankada, Wellawatta, Bambalapitiya, Kirulapana to Nugegoda Junction, Kalubowila, Kohuwala, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Soysapura, Thelawala, Attidiya, Badowita, Mulleriyawa, Kohilawatta, Udumulla, Kotikawatta and Himbutana.
