Two dead, 2 injured in hit-and-run crash

Two persons died and another two were wounded after a car lost control, veered off the road and hit several pedestrians in Godigamuwa on the Mahragama-Piliyandala road.
Police said a motorbike, a lorry and a three-wheeler parked in the roadside were also damaged in the accident.
Four pedestrians injured in the incident were rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital, however two of them had succumbed to injuries.
The driver of the car has fled following the collision while Maharagama Police have commenced investigations to apprehend the suspect.
