Two teenagers commit suicide over love affair

Two teenagers committed suicide by hanging themselves in the Veddagala area in Ruwanwella over an alleged love affair. The victims were 16-years and 14-years of age, police stated.
The boy, aged 16 years, had hanged himself on a tree near the girl’s house while the girl, aged 14 years, having been traumatized by the incident had hanged herself in a room at her house.
The Ruwanwella police are conducting further inquiries into the tragic incident.
