President Mahinda Rajapaksa is scheduled to begin a three-day official visit to Belarus on Sunday (August 25) to attend business and tourism forums in addition to discussions with leaders of the Eastern European nation.
During the visit, President Rajapaksa is expected to hold bilateral discussions with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prime Minister Prof. Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov and the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Belarus National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko.
The President will be traveling with a business delegation to attend a business forum where he will deliver a speech along with Prime Minister Myasnikovich, the Presidential Spokesman said in a statement.
In addition to the political engagements, President Rajapaksa is also expected to attend a tourist forum and visit an automobile plant in the capital city of Minsk.
