Woman dies after falling off of a moving lorry

A 34 year old woman from Adigama who was receiving treatment after falling off a moving lorry has succumbed to her injuries, the Marawila police stated.
The victim, Nirmala Sanjeewani was a resident of the Buddhipriya village in Adigama.
She succumbed to her injuries yesterday following the accident which took place on August 20.
She was traveling in a lorry which was going from Marawila to Wennappuwa when she fell off the moving vehicle in the Mudukatuwa area and was critically injured. She was admitted to the Marawila hospital and was later transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.
The lorry driver was taken into custody over the incident while the lorry was seized by police.
