The Police STF found a locally manufactured firearm and several bullets in the Nelumoya area in the Horowpathana-Nagollewa forest reserve.
Police were able to recover a Bora-12 firearm, two refillable bullet and 8 empty bullet casings.
The Horowpathana police will conduct further inquiries while no suspect has been arrested in connection with the weapons yet.
