Several roads closed in view of Bellanwila temple perahera

Several roads will be closed in view of the annual Esala Perahera of the Bellanwila temple from today (August 29) to September 1, police stated.

 

The Pawada Perahera will take place today (29) while the Maharagama-Dehiwala 119 bus route, Boralesgamuaw town and the Bellantara junction will be closed from 9.30pm to 12 midnight.

 

Those traveling from Maharagama, Piliyandala and Colombo towards Dehiwala are advised to turn left from the Pepiliyana junction and travel via Nedimala.

 

Vehicles coming from Ratmalana and Dehiwala can travel to Colombo or Boralesgamuwa across Pepiliyana.

 

The Ran Sivili perahera will be held tomorrow (30) while the road from the Boralesgamuwa junction traffic lights to the Pepiliyana Vihara Mawatha junction will be closed from 9pm to 1am the next morning.

 

Furthermore, the Boralesgamuwa junction, Attidiya bridge, Nedimala Bo tree and the Pepiliyana junction roads will be closed from 9pm on August 31 to 2am on September 1 in view of the Randoli perahera.
