UPDATE: Customs seize largest drug haul in South Asia

The haul of heroin seized from Orugodawatta by Customs officials today, has been confirmed as containing more than 100 kilograms of the illicit substance.
Sri Lanka Customs said it is the largest drug haul busted in the entire region of South Asia.
The haul of heroin was earlier said to be weighing around 30kg and worth approximately Rs. 1000 million.
It is suspected that the haul had been brought down from Pakistan, Customs said.
