Police Constable dies in crash at Delkanda

A Police Constable (PC) attached to the Mirihana Police Station was killed following an accident involving a three-wheeler and a van in Delkanda, Nugegoda.
The victim was traveling in the three-wheeler along with two other police officers, to purchase dinner, when they had collided with a van, Colombo-bound from Embilipitiya, at around 10.45pm last night.
He was rushed to the Kalubowila Hospital with severe injuries, however was pronounced dead upon admittance.

The 28-year-old victim, a resident of Dehiattakandiya, is a father of a newborn baby.
