Election Chief to meet with returning officers and party secretaries

The Elections Commissioner is set to hold discussions with the District Returning Officers and the Secretaries of the political parties today (September 13) on several issues concerning the upcoming provincial council elections.

 

Two international observational teams who will monitor the elections on September 21 are due to arrive in the country today.

 

Former Indian Elections Commissioner V. Gopalaswamy will head the team with five common wealth observers and 20 representatives of the South Asian Elections Authority.
