A 56-year-old man was accidentally run over and killed after his daughter had attempted to start a car near their residence in Nagoda, Kandana.
The woman had reportedly stepped on the accelerator instead of the breaks causing the vehicle to lunge forward and hit her father, who had been standing right in front of the car.
The 27-year-old daughter of the victim has been arrested over the incident, Kandana Police said.
