Twenty Indian fishermen have been arrested by Sri Lankan Naval personnel when they were fishing in seas North of Talaimannar this morning, a spokesman said.
Four trawlers belonging to the fishermen were also taken into custody, Navy Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya said.
He said they have been handed over to Talaimannar Police for further investigations and were likely to be produced in court tomorrow.
