Several Police OICs transferred

The Police Headquarters has decided to transfer several Officers-In-Charge (OICs) of Police Stations effective immediately.
Accordingly, the Matale OIC has been transferred to Thambuttegama Police Station, where the former OIC was transferred to serve as the Sevanagala OIC.
The Akuressa OIC has been transferred to the Matara Police Headquarters Office while the Weeraketiya OIC has been transferred to replace him.
The Police Spokesman’s Office further said that Punarin OIC has been transferred to serve as Aguruwatota OIC and the Manikhinna OIC has been placed in charge of the Punarin Police Station.
A Police Inspector attached to the Police Crimes Division has been appointed as the PIC of the Manippai Police Station.
