53 students remanded over clash at South Eastern University

Fifty-three students arrested in connection with the clash at the South Eastern University have been remanded till October 8 after being produced at the Magistrate Court of Sammanthurai today.

Four female students are said to be among the persons ordered remanded by Acting Magistrate A.M. Nazeel.

At least 23 students were injured and admitted to the Sammanthurai Hospital following a clash at the South Eastern University yesterday (3).
